Qatar Round: Evo Races

David Salom (KRT SBK Evo) won the Evo championship in convincing style after finishing second and then taking the race two win at Losail, which equates to 13th and 14th places in the overall combined SBK field.

Salom won 13 Evo rounds in all and ended up with a final points advantage of 30 in this class-within-a class.

Jeremy Guarnoni (MRS Kawasaki) completed his season third in the Evo points table despite scoring no points in Qatar.

Sheridan Morais (Iron Brain Kawasaki SBK Team) was injured in practice for the Losail round and was unable to compete in either race, but he held on to sixth in the Evo rankings.

Alessandro Andreozzi (Kawasaki Team Pedercini) scored one point for 15th in race two and got to within two points of Morais in the championship.

Aussie Bryan Staring (Iron Brain Kawasaki SBK Team) was pleased with his performance in race two at Losail as he finished 13th, and he ends his season ninth in the Evo table.

Kawasakis were numerically the most popular machines in the Evo class and as Salom’s overall win showed, the Ninja ZX-10R was also the most effective.
